First published in 2011, the State of the Mountains Report is now established as an important annual contribution to the Alpine Club of Canada’s commitment to providing accessible, current, and accurate information about the forces that affect Canadian mountain places, ecosystems, and communities.
Fire with Fire: braiding Indigenous and scientific knowledges of fire management to enhance climate change resilience in Alberta (Fire with Fire) is a two year (2019 – 2021) collaborative project between The Resilience Institute, Alberta Environment and Parks, Kainai First Nation, Piikani First Nation, Samson Cree Nation and Dene Tha’ First Nation. The objective of Fire With Fire is to mobilize best available Indigenous and scientific knowledge of fire to inform innovative practices for local, regional and provincial climate change adaptation.
